Cocktail of the Week -- Birds of a Feather Edition

Image hosting by Photobucket

BaT recently received an Easter card that inspires this edition of Cocktail of the Week:

"A friend is someone who will come and bail you out of jail. A best friend is someone who is sitting by you and says 'Damn, that was fun.' "

Since birds of a feather do flock together, and the recent heat wave calls for a light, fruity drink, I present ... The Tweety.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. light rum
1 oz. lime juice
1/2 oz. Liquore Galliano
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier

Instructions

Pour all the ingredients in a mixer with ice and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Triple sec or Contreau may be substituted for the Grand Marnier. The Triple sec will taste more lemon-limey; Contreau is more orange-flavored, like Grand Marnier.

Toast with "I did, I did see a puwtty cat!" Cheers!

P.S.: And thanks to BaT visitor 12,000 (and all before you) who came in from somewhere in the United States, searching Google for "lemon tree" photos. For newer readers, lemon tree refers to this post from my trip to Italy last May.
