Cocktail of the Week -- 'March'-ing To St. Patty's Edition

Image hosting by Photobucket

It's March, and March means St. Patrick's Day. It also means we are approaching the first anniversary of BaT's founding. This humble blog began on March 17, 2005, with an Irish toast and each week has provided readers with the best cocktails known to man.

It is natural then that we mark each Cocktail of the Week entry this month with Irish-inspired concoctions. First up: The Irish Hammer.

Ingredients

1 part Jack Daniel's whiskey (OK, OK, he was of Welsh ancestry. If it makes you feel better, use Tullamore Dew or something)
1 part Irish Mist
1 part Bailey's Irish cream

Instructions

Mix over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a shot glass.

P.S. A trivia question: Who was the first person to comment on BaT? (He was also the third.)

Answer: Cola Boy -- who we don't see around here much anymore -- responded to a tasteless entry about Terri Schiavo, O.J. Simpson and Johnny Cochran. Don't ask.
