Diversity, Colorado Style

EDITOR'S NOTE: It might be most helpful to actually start reading the Friday entries in reverse order. This would be the last post of the day. Scroll down to the Katrina roundup to begin.

During a day trip into the mountains on our recent Colorado excursion, we drove through this tourist trap. I spotted this cute Methodist church and snapped a photo out of the rental car window.

It wasn't until I looked at the photo full size that I noticed the church's sign: "Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors." To prove the church lives by its motto, notice it has its Methodist services at 10 a.m. on Sunday and allows local Catholics to hold Mass the evening before at 5:30.

I suppose it won't be long until we see Catholic churches sprout up in Salt Lake City -- although those Mormons will give the Catholics a run for their money if the Pope's People try to out-populate the good people of Utah.
