Forget The Rain, Here Comes The Whole Damed Thing
Katrina was suppose to cut through South Florida, then curly-cue back toward the East Coast. Instead,
her latest track has her coming right back through the heart of the Deep South. And she
may very well be a Cat 4 when she strikes the Gulf Coast sometime Monday.
On Friday, Gov. Jeb Bush urged residents in many of the same Panhandle areas to monitor the storm and make necessary preparations. If Katrina hit at Category 4 strength, as forecasters say it could, it would mean sustained winds topping 130 mph.
P.S. BaT will not be swept away, for this great site is housed far enough inland. So no need to overly worry. But BaT's is concerned about its many friends southward.
