Whoa! 'Joseph' Goes Gay

Sorry, but you can't call him "Joey" anymore. The former "Blossom" teen and one-hit pop star is an adult now, and he wants to be known as Joseph Lawrence. Romeo is fine with this because Lawrence grew up hot and is playing gay in his next project, the TV movie "Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber."

Based on the book by Adele Lang, "Confessions" is a post-"Bridget Jones" comedy about the misadventures of a young, single, conniving ad executive (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who uses trickery to get ahead in business and in her upscale social world. Lawrence co-stars as her gay partner-in-climb.

Romeo will be watching intently -- and not just in the hopes of seeing Lawrence shirtless -- to make certain that the script doesn't call for them to magically fall in love at the end. The movie airs on Oxygen in March.

A gay sidekick! How original!

And can you say "Brokeback Mountain, The Sequel"? Is that collagen I see? Last year, he did marry a woman from Alabama, and everyone knows Southern girls make the best fairy dust.

The boy is fooling himself if he thinks people will EVER stop calling him "Joey", or shouting out "Whoa!" when he walks by.

These child stars all get sort of funny when they grow up... Joey Lawrence, Gary Coleman, Baby Jane Hudson... it's another true cliche.

I honestly devoted at least 45 mintues to that movie one day when it was on Oxygen, it was seriously painful.

So this movie has already aired? I don't think I get Oxygen, whatever that is. Is that like Lifetime? I completely missed that this was a TV movie, although it says it right there. Had I know, I would have commented about how far Jennifer Love Hewitt has fallen. This from the girl who portrayed the great Audrey Hepburn! But I didn't notice, so I won't make fun.

I know what you did last summer, Jennifer ... make a crappy made-for-TV movie.
