A sense of humor in New Orleans has never hurt. The guy's sign says: "FEMA Called: Beads Will Be Here in April."



The parades always feature celebrities, in this case CNN's Anderson Cooper, who all gay men seem to love.



Speaking of celebrities, here's a Hobbit for you. The fat one was there, too, you know, "Rudy," but I prefer the cute midget.

Mardi Gras, outside of the Quarter, is really about the kids. Hold him a little higher, Grandma!



These New Orleans schoolchildren are currently living in Texas, but it doesn't stop them from having some fun, too.



And this sign applies to both the krewes who present The Greatest Free Show on Earth and the people who are helping pump much-needed tourism dollars into the city.
