A Louisiana Treasure Is Safe

Rock 'n' roll legend Fats Domino told friends he would ride out Hurricane Katrina in his three-story, 9th Ward home. It was not a wise decision. The neighborhood was one of the hardest hit, and Fats hadn't been heard from since the worst of Katrina came ashore.

But there is apparently good news amid a lot of misery. A Times-Picayune photographer caught Fats' rescue on film. Another rock hall of famer and New Orleans resident, however, remains unaccounted for. Allen "Southern Nights" Toussaint is missing. Fox News says he may be part of the crowd still in the Superdome. Let's hope so.
