No doubt there is some racism involved in this particular instance. But I think that they are much more interested in sensationalism. Anything for better ratings. Credibility and integrity have no place in the media any longer. If someone on a street corner begins a rumor, it can become a headline.
Look at the Dan Rather fiasco a few months ago. No effort to check any sources, just report it as the truth and hope the public buys it.

Thanks, Dave, for pointing out BfT's link to the BBC article. Of course he could have found that here yesterday. I don't think he reads me here, although he can't avoid my frequent comments over there. ;-)
