A marketing company with a lot of free time on its hands has released a new survey of "Best Loved Dead Celebrities."

At the top of the list: Lucille Ball.

The redheaded sitcom star of the 1950s and '60s, who died in 1989, has topped past "Dead Q" lists as her comedies seemingly live forever on television, said Steve Levitt, president of Marketing Evaluations, Inc., which conducts the tests.

"What is there not to like about Lucy?" he said.

Nothing, nothing at all. Especially when she says things like this:

"The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." -- Lucille Ball, 1911-1989.

POSTSCRIPT: In keeping with our theme this week, Lucille Ball died of an aortic aneurysm, NOT LUNG CANCER. Ex-husband Desi Arnez, however, did.

I use to watch I Love Lucy reruns ad nauseum(old school b&W Lucy)and yeah,she rocked in the day.

So,there's a death theme week? Man,they think of everything on Wheel of Fortune!

LOL@FB. Matt, I'm sure there are bigger reasons to feel like an idiot -- and your post was prettier. Lady T, the theme isn't death, it's cancer. And you know what they say the top cure for cancer is, don't you? A funeral.

Oops-my bad. But you could have other forms of death as themes,like Poisoning week,Drowning days,etc...excessingly morbid,I know but a sick sense of humor is better than none at all,IMO.
