Cocktail of the Week -- Damn, It's Hot Edition



It is 5:10 p.m. and currently 86 degrees Fahrenheit. With the humidity, it feels like it's 91. Ah, it's June in the South. I need a drink. Something cold and fruity. Here's one. It's called a Southern Delta. Mmmm, Southern Comfort. Peachy.

Ingredients

Broken ice
1 1/2 measures bourbon (not whiskey, bourbon ... try Maker's Mark or Knob Creek)
1/2 measure Southern Comfort
1/3 measure lime juice
1/3 measure pineapple juice

Instructions

Put a glassful of broken ice into the shaker. Pour in the liquids. Shake well and pour -- unstrained -- into an old-fashioned glass.

Wipe your brow and drink. Repeat as needed, y'all.
