Cocktail of the Week: Travel Edition



It's contest time again. Next week, I'll attend a conference in a large American city. Use this week's cocktail to guess which locale and next week's Cocktail of the Week will be dedicated to you. (Answer coming Monday.)

Today, I bring you: The Cablegram.

Ingredients

Ice cubes
1 1/2 measures Canadian whisky (or blended whisky)
1/2 measure lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon castor sugar
4 measures ginger ale
1 lemon slice

Instructions

Fill the cocktail shaker half-full with ice. Add the lemon juice, sugar and whisky. Shake well. Fill a highball glass three-quarters of the way with ice. Pour into the glass and garnish with a slice of lemon.
