Cocktail of the Week, 2-for-1 Edition
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
As promised, a cocktail dedication to Oliver Goldsmith trivia winners. First, Matt, who hails from Lafayette, Indiana, home of Purdue University. I bring you the perfect drink for him (and all like us): The Flaming Boilermaker!

Ingredients

1 pint beer
1 oz. whiskey

Instructions

Pour the whiskey into a shot glass. Whiskey won't burn on its own, so heat it in a microwave for 5 to 10 seconds (just before alcohol starts boiling). Ignite the shot of whiskey, drop it into a pint of beer and serve in a cold beer mug.

---

And now for trivia winner No. 2, Cola Boy. He lives in Florida; his name is Cola. What else, but the immortal Cuba Libre!

Ingredients

Ice cubes
2 measures of white rum
Juice of half a lime (save leftover shell)
4-5 measures of cold Coca-Cola (or Pepsi if you must)

Instructions

Squeeze the juice from the lime half into a highball glass (or any tall glass you have). Drop the lime shell in and fill the glass two-thirds full with ice cubes. Add the rum and top with Coke. Serve with a straw.

For a different taste, substitute the rum with Southern Comfort for the Cuba Libre Supreme.
